review The Final Silence × eBook or Kindle ePUB The Final SilenceThis is a solid thriller although I didn't feel it was uite as strong as some of the previous books featuring D I Jack Lennon In this story Jack Lennon continues to fight his inner demons all the while attempting to solve the murder of a past girlfriend Rea CarlisleIt's been a while since I read the previous Jack Lennon story but there was enough backstory relating to the previo

review The Final Silence × eBook or Kindle ePUB The Final SilenceI think my Goodreads friend Robert said it perfectly in just three words compassionate and dark For me this is Neville's best book since his brilliant Ghosts of Belfast Lennon is the ultimate anti hero maybe the best since The Ginger Man and way aboveor belowthe usual beaten down cop The secondary characters are beautifully drawn whether good or badand the first third of the book that sets the plot is uite absorbing and original After a series of good reads this was the one I couldn't put down I really loved this book

review The Final Silence × eBook or Kindle ePUB The Final SilenceWhile this series overall is great this was not uite up to par The plot had a couple of my least favorite elements and the main character was even harder to like than usual However in the end everything seemed to come together and the audio narration by Gerard Doyle was excellent as usual

review The Final Silence × eBook or Kindle ePUB The Final SilenceStuart Neville’s fourth and newest book to take place in Belfast Northern Ireland seldom lets the reader forget the history of that place after the time of “the Troubles” and its history of paramilitary groups that proliferated at that time Its opening pages describe the last hours hinted at by the title of Raymond Drew as he leaves the three bedroom semi where he’d lived for the past 30 years the first two of which were shared with “a wife he’d barely known let alone loved Dead and buried now and he hadn’t missed her
